This video has been in the make for months, if not more. I wanted to do something like it for a long time and even have one or two other unfinished attempts lying around. This one I started last year in December and I had already given up all hope for it, when suddenly inspiration struck again.
I think you can see that it took me quite a long time to finish. My idea of what it was supposed to be and how it came out is quite different. I worked on it on and off again because school was simply exhausting this year and now the resulting discontinuity seems clearly visible to me. I did for example not mean to put the quote from La Peste in there, but that book has been one of the few rays of sunlight throughout the school year and I think that quote is just too important to ignore.

I originally wanted it to be about personal fear and bravery, how it affects our society and our lives. Then the theme of how intolerance and false perceptions threaten as all and that sometimes we have to stand up to defend all we hold dear, the value of human life and apparently lots of landscapes joined the party and now I feel like I didn't really get to the bottom of any of it.

Still, I must say that I'm fairly proud of this. You might think that it's not very good, but boy, the world is going to hell in a hand basket and I've never quite meant a video like I mean this one. Rant over.
