HI! So my friends over at the Bookish Songs Collective just released our newest EP, which is entirely inspired by Xiran Jay Zhao’s Iron Widow series to celebrate the upcoming release of Heavenly Tyrant!

When I read Iron Widow, the first thing I thought was: Holy Shit this book is anime. So, naturally, I had to write it a j-rock inspired anime opening. I wanted this song to be special and unique so I recruited my friend Victoria Carbol to sing on it with me and she truly elevates it to the next level. It’s always a goddamn marvel to hear somebody with her talent interpret the words you wrote.
