Forget Flatland — Build Here Instead | MC 48

Описание: At the same meeting where Forest Hills, Farmridge, and the Forest Hills Shopping Center were approved, the city also gave the green light to several new neighborhoods in the Bend Foothills and along the Carp River.

For years, these areas were overlooked—too steep, too disconnected, too expensive to build. But with land on the east side of the river nearly tapped out and property values skyrocketing, the foothills are finally seeing renewed interest.

In this episode, we’re getting creative to make hillside development work. We’ll tackle two new hillside neighborhoods and another along University Avenue near the Carp River—all while focusing on connectivity. That means building more than just roads - pedestrian networks and transit access will be core considerations, and we'll also work to preserved the hillsides as park space.
