Authorities examine apparent manhole at Nancy Guthrie residence

Описание: We are learning more this weekend as Feb. 8 marks the eighth day in the search for Nancy Guthrie, the mom of NBC "Today" show anchor Savannah Guthrie. A Pima County Sheriff's vehicle pulled up to Nancy's Guthrie residence in Tucson just after 9 a.m. on Feb. 8. Police were also seen on drone footage that appeared to show them opening a manhole cover in the backyard near Nancy’s home. LiveNOW’s Shawna Khalafi is speaking with law enforcement expert, Jamie Copenhaver, as detectives are continuing to survey Nancy's Tucson-area home and the surrounding area.

The Pima County Sheriff's department said that they do not plan to hold any media briefings unless there is a "significant development." At this point in the investigation, no suspects, persons of interest, or cars connected to Guthrie's disappearance have been identified. "This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives and agents continue to conduct follow-up at multiple locations. Details of that follow-up are not being released at this time," the department said.
