Installing Rails for solar panels - HAREI.ORG

Описание: Once the feet have been installed, the next step is to install the rails. Most rooftop racking systems have the rails mounted horizontally since the rafters are usually vertical. Use a jig to center the rail to the middle of the foot. Then sight down the rail to make sure the rail is straight - the roof often sags so adjust the position of the bolt so the rail is straight. Torque the bolts to the specified value. Use a straightedge to make sure the top rail is flush or slightly lower than the 2 bottom rails. This ensures snow will slide off the panels and not get stuck due to a step up from one row to the next. Measure the width of the panel and the bolt and mark the location on the rail. Mount the inverter in the center of each panel typically on the top rail but that will depend on the routing of each string of panels. Keep the Q-Cable cinched tight to the rail to avoid it sagging and touching the asphalt roof to avoid damage to the cable or debris getting stuck behind it. Make sure the panel edges will lay flat on the rail and there are no cable ties or wires near the panel edge. Finally install at least 2 panels on the bottom row and spend sufficient time to really make sure the panel is square to the rack. Stretch a line across the bottom to have a guide to keep the panels aligned as they are installed.
