The Scalextric Mini Clubman1275GT model number C122 is without doubt an Iconic Scalextric car. The chassis - C122 - first appeared in the Scalextric 1976 catalogue and continued as C110/112 through to the 1982 Catalogue - an 8 year run. They are plentiful on eBay, anything from old new stock through to complete barn finds can be had most weeks. But how does it really stand up in 2023?
I discuss the body design and detailing plus look at the chassis characteristics of the Scalextric Mini Clubman 1275GT. I then take it for a track test and get a feel for what it must have been like to own one back in the day.
