Beijing zoo welcomed a new-born black snub-nosed monkey on Wednesday.
The female black snub-nosed monkey, also known as Yunnan snub-nosed monkey, was born in the zoo on April 23.
She is around 10 centimeters in height and weighs around 500 grams. She is currently being looked after by her mother and father and zoo keepers predict she will be able to walk in a few weeks.
The Yunan snub-nosed monkeys are social animal who often feed and interact in large groups. The group sizes can range between 20 and 200. The female species normally breed every three years.
With only 750 of these animals across the world, the black snub-nosed monkey is currently listed as an endangered species in China. More on: http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20160430...
