Описание: Here is a tutorial on how to get a KK (also known as the "Lethal Black" gene) wolf in WolfQuest Anniversary Edition, without having to raise a pup with KK genetics!

The lethal black gene is typically deadly to wolf pups before they are even born. However, a small percentage of KK pups do survive to adulthood. KK wolves can be rarely found, raised, or created in the game.

This video covers how to make a KK wolf in the wolf creator, as well as answering a few common questions about player-made KK wolves.

Do know that I got very very lucky getting one on my third try. The KK Cinderella took 20+ tries to achieve. Sometimes the odds are simply in your favor. You will be doing a lot of reloading, but it's still faster than raising litter after litter hoping to randomly get a KK pup.

Q: Does this still work in the saga?
A: Yes! It still works! If you are having trouble with it, remember that sometimes this can take many, many tries, as it is down to RNG. (last edited 4/22/25)

Q: Does this work on ironwolves?
A: It does! Their coats & tint can be altered even when other parts of customization become locked.

Q: Why would you do this?
A: Multiple reasons-
It's a cool thing and makes a wolf "special", so almost a trophy in some sense.
Some players like to do KK x KK challenges where they have tiny litters of KK pups.
KK (lethal black) x kk (gray) is technically the best pairing ingame, as all pups come out Kk (normal black) with higher illness resistance.

Q: Does this provide any benefit or drawback to stats?
A: When a KK wolf is created by the player using the wolf creator, there are no benefits or drawbacks to your stats. They are the same as any normal wolf.
KK pups who were BORN to the player wolf (not created) do tend to be runts, which leads to them having stats in the negatives.

Q: Does this only work with certain coats?
A: ANY coat works. Every single coat can be made KK by tinting them dark enough for the game to consider them black, then adjusting within that range.

Q: Will changing the wolf's name/injuries/stats/personality reroll it?
A: Nope! The only things that reroll your wolf's GCC (genetic coat color) are if you change the coat itself, or change either of its tint sliders.
!! THIS INCLUDES SWAPPING BETWEEN YOUNG & OLD VERSIONS, on coats where this applies (such as 755M & 42F (Cinderella)). Swapping between the younger & older versions manually seems to reroll your GCC.
