Описание: Mendesora United is a group of poor farmers from Mendesora village in Northern Sierra Leone. They have recently been introduced to a new form of growing rice, the system of rice intensification (SRI). SRI is increasingly being recognised as a 'game changer' in global food security and their instructor, Gerald Aruna, is the first person to have adopted the SRI in the country, back in 2003. Gerald's experience is particularly valuable especially now after the 2014 Ebola outbreak.
