In this step-by-step tutorial, I’ll show you how to:
✔ Create a new CapCut project
✔ Use a photo as your background
✔ Add a video overlay in front
✔ Remove the background from the overlay clip
✔ Add a zoom effect for more movement
✔ Insert text and music
✔ Turn off CapCut's default ending
For this example, I used a gas station photo showing skyrocketing oil prices as the background to demonstrate how you can create more interesting reels.
This is a great technique if you want to make your Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts more dynamic.
