So, yes, this is another video where you'll hear me babbling a lot. But take 5 minutes of your time and just listen, I assure you that it will be worth your while. And hey, at least you can rest your sore fingers a little, right? At this point of the Beginners Guitar Course it's important to make sure that you're up to speed with everything that I taught you thus far. Nobody expects perfection of you, that would be unreasonable. However, you should feel comfortable playing all the guitar chords, exercises and songs we covered in the past.
Okay, time to quickly recap what we learned up until now in the Beginners Guitar Course. Here is the list of guitar chords you should be able to play at this point:
• E-Minor
• D-Major
• A-Major
• G-Major
• C-Major
• E-Major
• A-Minor
• D7
When you look at this list of guitar chords, which are the ones you struggle with the most? Well, I think I know the answer: it's probably the C-Major Chord. That would be consistent with my experience as a guitar teacher for many years. However, with that being said, it really depends on the individual student. Because the fact of the matter is, what comes easy to one guitar beginner might be a long struggle for another one. But the bottom line here is: before you move one with the course, I need you to make sure that you take a week or two and work on the chords and chords changes you have the most problems with.
Now, beginner guitar chords is not everything we learned. What about playing techniques and strumming patterns? Did you use a metronome while practicing guitar as I told you to? Well, I hope you did. I understand that the main focus is on your playing hand at this point, however, your other hand (the one you hit the strings with) is equally as important.
Ask yourself this question: am I ready to move on with the guitar course or should I be going back and revisit some of the previous lessons? You have to be honest with yourself. We are about to tackle a major milestone in the next few lessons and I need you to be reasonably confident that you are up for the challenge. Don't get intimidated, there is no need to. But I want to make sure that you developed enough skill before you move on. Also, if you really practiced pretty much every day, then now might be a good point to take 1-2 days off. Not more than that, though. But give yourself a break, clear your head and rest your hands/fingers.
You are about half way done with this guitar course for beginners. And believe it or not, but you already learned A LOT. That's a massive accomplishment which you can and should be proud of. Excellent job so far. Rest assured, we will be learning many new songs during the remainder of the course, the best is yet to come.
If you have any questions, please just post them here under the video. I will try my best to personally answer all of them in a very timely fashion. Alternatively, you can go over to my website's contact page and send me an email. Here is the link:

I'm known for going above and beyond when it comes to helping my students. However, please understand that based on the volume of questions I receive, it might just take a little longer to answer. Therefore, I do recommend that you just post your question as a comment here under the respective video. That way, you may have other viewers/students jumping in and provide you with a more timely answer.
Your guitar teacher,
