The Lamba translation became popular in the Adventist circles between 1989 and 1993.

It invigorates fondest memories of Allan Lungu's Grand Father (Mr. Zed Spoon Kabunda) whose favorite hymn it was. He taught all his children and grand Children this song and every time he visited we had to sing this song.

He literally walked the words of this song as could be heard mentioning each of their names when he prayed.

The last time they sung it as family, he was no more and he taken to his resting place.

Muntembelele is a phrase in the Zambian local language called Lamba, which means "Pray for Me".
Many are the times we offer self centered prayers to God.
But Christ demonstrated that there is power in praying for others when he asked his disciples to pray for Him the night before he died on the cross of Calvary.
