Joran van der Sloot is a Dutch criminal who was convicted of the murder of the Peruvian student Stephany Flores on May 30, 2010 and is suspected of involvement in the disappearance of the American Natalee Holloway in Aruba on May 30, 2005. Van der Sloot was arrested on May 3, 2005. June 2010 arrested in Chile and detained in the Peruvian capital Lima.
