At February 9’s City Council meeting, the Lilburn City Council amended the zoning ordinance to remove the requirement for residents to store trash cans inside enclosures outside of pickup days, providing added flexibility for homeowners. Council also amended the ordinance to allow commercial drone delivery hubs under certain conditions, establishing guidelines for where and how these facilities may operate within the city.
In addition, Council imposed a 90-day moratorium on new commercial building along Lawrenceville Hwy. within the US 29 Overlay District to allow time to evaluate existing standards and consider potential updates.
