Thousands of temples were destroyed. Hindus were tortured, converted, and stripped of their identity. Konkani was banned. Family names were erased. The trauma of that history remains buried in silence even today.

But this is also a story of resilience — of Goan Hindus, who smuggled their gods to safety, rebuilt their temples, and fought to preserve their civilisational memory.
