Today I wanted to put a few popular dampening options side by side and just listen. No hype, no big claims — just letting the drums speak for themselves.
In this session I’m trying out Steve's Donut, along with the M1 and the M80. Same kit, same room, same player. The goal is simple: hear how each one shapes the tone and feel so you can decide what fits your own sound and style.
I always find it interesting how small changes can completely shift the voice of the instrument. Hopefully this gives you a clear reference point if you’ve been wondering which direction to go.
