Tricycle still remains the best mean of transport within the city. It’s cheap, reliable and you don’t need to worry about parking which is always a nightmare here in Tagbilaran City. But are the tricycle drivers honest or they try to scam tourist visiting the island? As a half-Filipino and half-Swiss I can play both parts quite well. Let’s put them to test and see how honest they are with their prices. I'm gonna call this a social experiment and demonstrate that they won't try to scam me only because I look new in town. You may have heard that it may happened with some taxi in the big cities but fortunately with the tricycle drivers in Tagbilaran City the reputation is different.

It turns out that they haven’t been just extremely honest when I acted like a foreign tourist, but they have been concerned and even trying to help me out giving me a better rate and throwing in some good advices too.

This may be my personal experience only, let me know about your experience if you had some worth sharing.
