Wonderfully enlivening dance music from Max Siegel's Nonet -- its instrumentation following the Birth of the Cool orchestra, but going its own rewarding ways in 2025, captured at a December 6, 2025 concert at St. John's Lutheran Church in New York City. The arrangements / orchestrations are by Max, and the first song is also his composition.
We hear TENTH DIMENSION, REINCARNATED SOULS, and THESE FOOLISH THINGS.
The marvelous band is Scott Wendholt, trumpet; Jay Rattman, alto saxophone; Eric Davis, French horn; Matt McDonald, trombone; Frank Basile, baritone saxophone; Marcus Rojas, tuba; Leo Genovese, piano; Scott Ritchie, double bass; Paul Francis, drum set; Max Seigel, compositions and arrangements.
