1/4" x 3/4" Stainless Coarse Thread Hex Bolts (x4 – One per bracket to attach the rail)
1/4" Zinc-Plated Flat Washers (x10 – Use on both wall and rail side)
1/4"-20 Zinc-Plated Steel Hex Nuts (x4 – For securing bolts to the rail)
1/4"-20 Zinc-Plated Nylon Insert Lock Nuts (x4 – Goes on top of regular nuts to prevent loosening)
NOTES
Make sure to use machine-threaded bike hooks (like Park Tool 450) for secure attachment—don’t use screw-threaded hooks.
Brackets should be mounted into wall studs at approximately 7" height unless your ceiling allows for direct mounting.
The sliding system works like a closet rail—move bikes side to side to access each one easily.
🔧 Inspired by Alex Bogusky’s Joy of Bikes rack, with improvements for clarity and ease of build.
