As a boy, James Louey dreamt of guiding an orchestra through Beethoven's Fifth. Today he is the commercial director of the Kowloon Motor Bus Company in Hong Kong. "Music is a big part of my lifestyle," says James Louey. It is, in truth, something of an unnecessary confession, given that any tour of his home kicks off in his recording studio. Music, though, clearly remains his first love. He says: "I have been experimenting with making music for more than 30 years. My childhood dream was to conduct an orchestra. I have been wagging my finger to Beethoven's Fifth since I was about four." Louey has headed the human resources department of The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited since 1990.He plays a key role in KMB's successful Service Enhancement Programme by continuously inculcating a refreshed culture within the organisation.
