This Week at Audubon's Rowe Sanctuary - Highlights From September 24-30

Описание: I hope you enjoy this new, ongoing feature. It's something to relax to, when you just need a ten minute (ish) dose of tranquil, diverse nature... Let's discover who's been stopping by Audubon's Rowe Sanctuary!

Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary in Nebraska offers a front-row seat to one of nature’s greatest spectacles—the sandhill crane migration along the Platte River. This livestream captures a five-mile stretch of river that hosts up to 200,000 cranes at the peak of migration. Each spring, these birds gather in massive numbers, roosting overnight on the river’s sandbars and creating unforgettable scenes at sunrise and sunset. Watch as cranes lift off in waves at dawn or return in the evening, silhouetted by the fading light—calling, dancing, and socializing before nightfall. While the crane migration is the main event, the camera runs year-round, offering a chance to see a variety of wildlife throughout the seasons.
