These videos were generated with Kutu, a realtime graphics application that I'm developing and hope to release in the future. The algorithms are similar to reaction-diffusion or float valued cellular automata -- a filter is applied to an input image, and the current output becomes the input image in the next frame. However some violate certain criteria to be called reaction diffusion (eg non-symmetric kernels etc).
They were captured in realtime with limited interaction -- when the system is "reseeded" from the input, there will be a subtitle indicating this.
