(Madison Levine) Hearing loss is an invisible disability. Sometimes, even people who have hearing loss don't want to use that words but when you kind of open up to that and absorb it, you realize it really is true.

(Patient Hearing Exam Testimonial 1) I just couldn't hear normal conversations. I couldn't hear the TV and I couldn't hear my grandchildren. Especially my granddaughter who was turning about eight and she started mumbling and I couldn't hear any distinct conversation.

(Patient Hearing Exam Testimonial 2) You don't realize how miserable you are when you've never had them, but something's wrong and you can't put your finger on it. And when you go to the doctor they don't test you for hearing loss to see what's wrong. It sort of looks like it's just getting slower, slowing down, they are thinking you have maybe some illness you're not aware of but it's really that you're not on it, you're not alert. You don't hear all the verbal clues that come to you.

(Madison Levine) The first inclination when someone starts to have a little hearing trouble is to think that it's the people around them. They're mumbling, they weren't looking at me when they were talking to me. It makes sense, that's your brain’s natural reaction, but in reality, hearing loss doesn't look like deafness. A lot of people, I think, think that they're just gonna notice that it’s the hearing loss because it just obviously has gone down. But really, hearing loss normally looks like holes. So they're hearing some things great and other things not so well.

(Patient Hearing Exam Testimonial 3) It was the quality of life that I was missing. Missing information from my children, from the world, and in the restaurants. Music is one of my favorite things and I was not able to really decipher some of the sounds that I used to be able to hear and I thought, okay if hearing aids will do this for me, then, that's the least I can do for the rest of my life.

(Madison Levine) Eventually, when they come in, they see it's not a scary experience. The hearing test is painless and it's better to know where you're at and whether it is you, or it's somebody else. Maybe it is them mumbling. Maybe it is just earwax, but let's find out if that's what it really is.

(Patient Hearing Exam Testimonial 1) It's just night and day you know I can really hear things, especially, you know, in church services and meetings and conversations. I don't have to strain or try to read lips and enjoy the sounds of my grandchildren. Although I have to turn it off at times when they start to yell and scream in the car.

(Patient Hearing Exam Testimonial 2) I didn't expect people to notice that something has happened. People think I've gotten a haircut. I've got new clothes or something like that but they just think I'm smarter. I think some of them think I'm cuter too but really they noticed there's something about me and my daughter who's a psychologist says mom, you're with it, and you weren't all the time. People were always repeating what they said or instead tapping you on the shoulder and they didn't know what your problem was because there's no sign saying I have a horrible hearing loss but since you've gotten these new hearing aids, man, and you're on it mom. Yeah, and she says I'm real proud of you and I'm proud of myself. I really am. I really pay attention and now I led a whole publicity campaign at my church, something I never would have tried to do before these hearing aids. Everybody's like, “wow we didn't know.” So it's been really cute it's been a good time.

(Madison Levine) If you've got hearing aids that are not old enough to need to change them out, or you don't need new ones yet they're just not set right. Or you're even in the back of your mind just considering whether they might could be better, come in let us take a look at them. We're taking a second look for free and making adjustments to the settings. So, I've had a lot of people come through the last couple weeks and they've left very happy. The last thing I want is to have hearing aids in the drawer and everybody knows somebody who's heard that story. Somebody invested in hearing aids and then they're not wearing them and there nothing that makes me more sad than that so I want to put them back on ears and get them sat right so there's absolutely no charge for that.
