Strawberry Thyme Lemonade - Summer Drinks

Recipe:
Boil 1 cup of sugar, 8 sprigs of thyme and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Stir occasionally until all sugar has dissolved.
Let thyme syrup cool then discard thyme sprigs.
Combine thyme syrup, 1 quart sliced strawberries, 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice and 5 cups of water in large pitcher.
Chill for 30 minute to overnight. serve over ice and garnish with pineapple spears and a thyme sprig.
ADULT VERSION: add a splash of vodka.
