Right Field is a weird positon. It is not as prestigious as Center Field, but not as maligned as Left Field. The players who roam that part of the outfield are a mixed bag. They’re either defensive wizards who aren’t good enough for Center Field, or Big Boppers who are too good to play left field.
While I wouldn’t call the position an afterthought, many players end up moving off the position at some point in their career. Which makes it a weird position to catagorize.
Regardless, there’s still been a fair amount of stars at the position, many of whom are criminally underrated by the baseball public. So let’s look at some of them.
