Winter in Hamburg is more than just grey, it is a mood of its own. This short film is my visual homage to the winter beauty of the Hanseatic city during its coldest weeks.
„Cold Melancholy“ is a collection of quiet observations focusing on the aesthetics of stillness. The film explores some of Hamburg’s most beautiful corners in a time of silence. Places that invite you to linger, and those we often pass by too quickly in our daily lives. Within this cold melancholy, the city reveals a magic all its own.
Filmed between 12.12.2025 and 14.01.2026.
