Welcome to Episode 11 of our Animatronic Horror Bear Modeling Series!
In this episode, we return to the torso to add important structural details that will help during texturing and rigging. First, we shape a more defined stomach area so the character reads better visually and maps cleanly when applying color and materials later. Next, we adjust the torso to create a shoulder joint connection, ensuring the arm will have somewhere to pivot on once the rig is built.
After refining the torso, we shift our focus to the hand and begin modeling the palm. We use simple primitives and clean topology techniques to create a strong foundation that will support the fingers built in the previous episode. By the end of this lesson, the upper body and hand will be much more cohesive and ready for final assembly.
