Disney Infinity preview: This year's hottest Christmas toy?

Описание: Disney are gearing up to win the battle for number one Christmas toy with Disney Infinity, a crossover between video games and collectible figurines. By placing the figures, which are based on popular Disney characters, on the packaged Infinity Base the character warps into the game world ready to be used by the player.

The game is divided into two main modes: Play Sets and the Toy Box. Play Sets are themed around popular Disney licenses and tell new stories in those worlds.

The starter kit for the game comes with Monsters University, The Incredibles and Pirates of the Caribbean sets packed in. Others can be bought seperately, with The Lone Ranger and Cars sets already announced.

The Toy Box is an open playing field, that allows gamers to take characters, items and buildings they have accrued and sculpt their own play space.

It is a system built with freedom in mind, and can allow for some really complex creations thanks to the ability to programme behaviours into items. Essentially allowing players to create their own games within the game.
