A second quarter where Virginia outscored Notre Dame 8-1 propelled the Cavaliers to the win. The Irish scored six goals in the fourth quarter, but UVA was able to hold them off to get the win. Jaime Biskup and Rachel Clark each scored five goals for Virginia. Jackie Wolak had a career day for Notre Dame, scoring a career-high six goals and totaling a career-high eighty points. Wolak had recorded a hat trick in just the fourth quarter alone.
