Yesterday a man at the F64 photography supply store in Bucharest told me that my proposed set up would not work. This was because (per him), the wireless mic receiver module used the USB-C connector on the Media Mod, so I would not be able to plug in my Volta power source. I need to use the Volta for power, because my GoPro is no longer acknowledging the presence of the battery, so I removed it and just power up with the Volta. Works fine.
I discovered, after my own research, that the Rode Wireless Mic connects to the Media Mod with a TRS cable, or a USB-C cable. So I will just used the TRS cable, leaving the USB-C port open for the Volta plug. Problem solved….. Test it out (will be in a separate video), and it works just fine.
