Raid extreme has made it to Germany. Strelasund has a wonderful place: the Em2 campus, where you can sail (folding) canoes (faltboot) do sail training, and just hang out in general.

They have now twice organized a Raid Exteme, similar to the one in Lauwersoog. Good times!
I had to be careful, as my tennis elbow meant capsizes were a no-no, and having the mylar sail on meant that reefing would be difficult. It all worked out and turned out to be a great day on the water! What was wonderful was that many boats could stretch their boundaries and sail a bit further, or in more wind than they used to.
