Zomato Hikes Platform Fees In Key Markets | ET Now

Описание: Zomato – food delivery platform – has hiked platform fees to Rs 4 from Rs 3 in key markets. On December 31, the company was charging a platform fee of Rs 9.
This 33% hike in platform fee could boost the consolidated adjusted EBITDA of Zomato by atleast 15%. As per brokerages, every Re 1 implies incremental contribution margin of 0.2% in food delivery. It can add Rs 15 crore to the quarterly EBITDA, which implies Rs 60 crore addition on annual basis, i.e., around 15% to the consolidated adjusted EBITDA.
Also, as per CLSA, this hike in platform fee will offset 25% of the GST demand received by the company few days back.
Zomato had received a show cause notice of Rs 400 cr from GST department pertaining to the amounts collected by Zomato as delivery fees. Zomato believes it is not liable to pay
