“CM himself won with forged votes,” Manik Sarkar’s jibe over post-poll violence in Tripura

Описание: Tripura was rocked by sporadic post-poll violence after the results of by-elections to four assembly constituencies were declared on Sunday. Several offices of political parties were ransacked and later set ablaze. Shops and residences in several areas of the state were also targeted.
Former Chief Minister a, CPI(M) leader Manik Sarkar on Monday visited several houses in the Shyamoli Bazar area of Agartala that were affected by post-poll violence. Taking a jibe at the BJP, Sarkar said that CM himself won by forging votes.
"This is what has been going on. Voters were not allowed to cast their votes. First, they forged votes and then carried out attacks. The Chief Minister himself won with forged votes," Sarkar said.
