Compaction should continue until we get 98% of the maximum dry density.
Smooth wheeled roller or Vibratory roller to be used & compacted in layers of 100 mm & 200 mm respectively.

Bulk density = mass of( mould + soil) - mass of mould / Volume of mould.

Dry density= Bulk density / (1 + Moisture content)

Moisture content corresponding to maximium dry density shall be reported.
