The New Jalpaiguri–Alipurduar Tourist Express (train nos. 15777/15778) includes a premium Vistadome coach providing panoramic views through large glass walls and roofs, perfect for scenic viewing of forests, rivers, tea gardens, and Himalayan foothills along the Dooars route. Passengers board at NJP around 7:20 AM and pass through several stations before reaching New Mal Junction at about 9:10 AM, covering the first leg in approximately 1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours, depending on halts. From there the train continues further towards Alipurduar, but the New Mal segment offers wonderful glimpses of the early Dooars plantation landscape. The Vistadome coach seats up to 44 passengers, featuring rotatable seats, observation lounge, and transparent glass roofs for immersive viewing.
