Skyhooks - Loves not Good Enough - Original Vinyl from 1975 "Ego's Not a Dirty Word" Album

Описание: I had a muffled 1989 CD of this album, thinking that was how this album sounded, then I bought the original vinyl second hand, what a difference!
The 2016 remastered CD sounds great though on the triple CD "Don't Believe What You've Seen Or You've Heard"...

Love the guitar solo in this song performed by Red Symons not sure if Bob Starkie also helped, either overdub or twin lead? Great documentary on Youtube about this very song... search "Skyhooks - Making Of 'Ego Is Not A Dirty World' Album part 2 of 3 (1975)" on nzoz1975 channel, at 3:58 watch Red performing the guitar solo. Worth watching the whole documentary, an amazing find by nzoz1975.

Great to also see and hear Graeme "Shirley" Strachan's vocals RIP and the immaculate drum work of Imants "Freddie" Strauks in the documentary.

It's worth watching the skill of Greg Macainsh in this bass tuition video :
"Love's Not Good Enough - Skyhooks bass cover" on Eastern Suburbs School of Music video channel, the bass work of principal songwriter Macainsh often flies under the radar of recognition.

Apparently the "Straight in a GG World" and "Guilty Until Proven Insane" master tapes are either damaged or lost, so we may not see a similar release of these two. Which is a pity for an early Aussie supergroup, and the CD versions of those albums unfortunately are not as good as vinyl.

Look for "Don't Believe What You've Seen Or You've Heard" remastered Skyhooks CD, still available on Amazon at a normal price, some eBay prices are out of this world!
