(00:00 - 00:06) Tourists are waiting for a bus sightseeing tour along some of Rio's West Coast beaches at Copacabana Beach.
(00:07 - 00:55) The footage shows a beach at the very beginning of Barra da Tijuca, which is 18 km long and extends until Recreio dos Bandeirantes.
(00:56 - 01:28) Panoramas from Alto da Boa Vista show Borel Hill, which can be recognized by the layout of the hills. Additionally, the footage shows Usina and the Catambri Street hills. At 1:25, the CEDAE (Rio's water and sewage company) terrain can be seen on the left, while the first images are of Borel, a nearby hill in Tijuca.
(1:28 - 02:17) The footage shows partial views of Leblon, Ipanema, Lagoa, and Humaitá neighborhoods, as well as Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, the hippodrome at Jockey Club, and the Jesus Christ statue on the Corcovado summit. At 02:03, the far part of Copacabana can be seen beyond the mountains.
(02:18 - 02:30) The footage shows Corcovado and partial views of Botafogo, Flamengo, and Laranjeiras neighborhoods, along with Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf). At 02:29, the runways of Santos Dumont Airport are visible.
(02:31 - 02:35) The footage shows a partial view of downtown Rio, with the Ponte Rio-Niterói (Rio-Niterói bridge) in the distance. The portion of water visible is Baía da Guanabara (Guanabara Bay).
(02:36 - 03:10) The footage shows Copacabana, including a traditional handicraft street market that still exists today.
(03:11 - 03:15) The footage shows Vieira Souto Avenue, which is home to the most elegant and expensive houses and apartments in Rio. The mountain seen in the distance is in Leblon neighborhood.
(03:16 - 03:22) The footage shows Arpoador Beach and a small part of Ipanema Beach.
(03:23 - 03:46) The footage shows Copacabana Beach.
(03:47 - 04:28) The footage shows a tour to an unidentified place with views of the Porto do Rio (Rio docks).
(04:29 - 04:46) The footage shows unidentified places.
(04:47 - 05:01) The footage shows Copacabana beach.
(05:02 - 05:11) The footage shows the Arcos da Lapa (Lapa Acqueduct).
(05:12 - 05:27) The footage shows Copacabana Beach.
(05:28 - 06:00) The footage shows an unidentified place, probably a partial view of inland Copacabana, taken from inside a hotel room.
(06:01 - 06:41) The footage shows Copacabana Beach, car and buses on Avenida Atlântica, and a view of Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) seen from Copacabana. The most footage and photos of Pão de Açúcar are taken from the top of Corcovado or from Botafogo Cove. Perhaps a non-Rio de Janeiro born person would not recognize Pão de Açúcar taken from other locations.
(06:42 - 07:13) Copacabana (Some of the houses seen in the footage don't exist anymore. They were demolished and in its place buildings arose).
(07:14 - 07:32) panoramas of Copacabana.
(07:33 - 08:21) views of Rio de Janeiro from the window of the aircraft after taking off.

In the footage of Brazil taken between 1955 and 1990, there are a lot of Volkswagen Beetles. They were like a plague in Brazil, because they were cheap and resilient. Nowadays, they seldom can be seen.
