I know we have some veteran players here, but for those of you who are still unfamiliar with the game here a simple guide of what to do when you're under attack,

[b]WHAT TO DO IF UNDER ATTACK:[/b]

1. [b]Don't panic[/b]

2. [b]Post for support:[/b]

Say [b]who[/b] is attacking
[b]What[/b] village they are attacking
Say what the [b]arrival time[/b] is
Say if it is [b]only one attack or if it looks like a train[/b]

A noble train is usually 4 or 5 attacks coming in very close together.
This can be used to take a village. No one can take your village with just one noble.

Use the [b]distance calculator[/b] to see what troops might be coming, judging by the time it takes them to reach from your attackers village to yours. Just remember to use the STRAIGHT LINE, not forward slash, or the calculator will not work.

3. Dodge the attack if you see it coming, and only leave scouts in the village. Send the troops out on a short farming trip where they will return when the attack is over.

4. Yes, scouts are important because they kill other scouts. If you have more scouts in your village than the attacker has sent, the attacker scouts will be killed and the attacker gets no report on what you have in your village.

5. If can’t be active when the attack lands, then send your troops to another tribe members village as support until you return, then call them back once you're online again.

6. Use up all resources if under attack. Construct buildings or troops to use up the supplies that are not hidden by the hiding place. If you are just starting, get that hiding place up to level 10. This will hide at least 2000 of each resource that the enemy can't get.
You can also send the resources to another member and they can send them back to you after the attack has landed.

7. You can set the militia to assist in battle and protect your village, but realize that they are there for 6 hours and for 6 hours while militia is set, all your resource production will be cut in half for the 6 hours. You receive 20 militia for each farm level, so, for a level 15 farm, you get 300 militia. This is the max. I sometime set militia if I am going to sleep.

8. If you are going to be away for, lets say, 8 hours. Send your troops on a farming mission that will take them 4 hours to get there and 4 hours to get back. They will arrive back at home right when you can get back to them.

9. Get those walls up. The height of the wall also assist your troops in fending off an attacker.

10.Set someone far away from yourself as sitter if you cannot play for a while or will be unable to watch your village. I say someone far away from you, because once you set a sitter, that person cannot send you help, resources, support, [b]NOTHING[/b], for 24 hours after the sitting ends. If it is someone far away from you, then it won't matter, because they are too far to help you anyway.

[color=#ff0000][b]And no sitting by anyone outside the tribe. This is forbidden.[/b][/color]

11. Another tip is:

[b]***[/b]If you get stuck with excess resources and the enemy is coming, go to the market and trade them away. Once the offer has been accepted, the enemy can't take it.

[b]***[/b] If you don't see what you can trade for on the market, then make an offer. Someone will pick it up usually before the attack arrives.

12. Lastly, if neither of these is an option, send the resources as support to another tribe member. You can always call them back after the attack. Just make sure to mail them and let them know what you are doing. :)
