Shrouded in taboo, dying is something we prefer not to talk about.
Yet if there's one thing that unites as human beings, it's the temporality of our lives — and the loss of our loved ones we will all eventually face.
So where do we begin? How do we reconcile the two?
Like anything, it starts with putting words to the silenced, by asking questions about the unmentionable, by starting a dialogue about death.
In doing so, we can feel less alone in our experiences and start to disintegrate some of the awkwardness enveloping this topic.
So let's begin, with this video, featuring four young women's reflections and relationships with dying.
I hope you enjoy. It was one of my favourites to edit.
Please be advised: this content contains some discussion of depression and suicide.
Music: 'Believe' by Amen Dunes.
