Manor ISD Presents: Reading On The Go!

Описание: Manor ISD is excited to announce the launch of its summer reading program: READING ON THE GO!!!

Reading On The Go will use a modified school bus to take books to Manor ISD students throughout the summer and going into the school year. But it is much more than a bookmobile, it’s a literacy celebration on wheels!

The bus will feature a fun design created by Manor High School Graphic Design Students. On top of a wide selection of books for all ages, the Reading on the Go bus will feature laptops and iPads loaded with reading material via MyON, as well as games, fun posters, and snacks for the those who visit.

Reading On The Go is graciously sponsored by Manor ISD partners Samsung Austin Semiconductor, MyON, and the Manor Education Foundation.

And while the Reading On The Go bus will operate throughout the year, Manor ISD has a full summer of events planned. The Reading On The Go Bus will have a kickoff event May 23 and 24, where the bus will tour all the schools in Manor ISD. Then, on June 2, the City of Manor will declare the day to be Reading On The Go day!

All summer long, students and families should keep an eye out for the Reading On The Go bus as it comes to communities, businesses, and public spaces.

And finally, we'll wrap up the summer with a sendoff celebration on Aug. 25 at 5 p.m., which will be the first football game of the year.

A special thanks to Ms. Shannnon Park and her design students for the hard work and creative design on branding the “Reading on the Go” district initiative. Their visuals will definitely keep students reading throughout the summer.
