Sarah Zurell is a renowned entrepreneur-turned-fashion executive with a decorated track record of driving results across Retail, E-commerce, and Tech. In her current role as Chief Marketing Officer for CELS Brands, Home of Chinese Laundry, Dirty Laundry, 42 Gold and CL by Laundry. An LA-based women's footwear company established in 1971, Sarah leads cross-functional teams in marketing, merchandise, design, product development, and strategic partnerships with an approach that is both data-driven and focused on talent development.
Her prior ventures include being Head of Content for Google Ventures’ Strut where she worked directly with the CTO to categorize 7,000 brands and help transform 45% of downloads into daily users (compared to the industry average of 14%), which was later adopted by Amazon and Shopbop. Sarah later co-founded two successful start-ups: Eternal Fleur, where she expanded operations and forged pivotal strategic partnerships, and Pavemint, where she oversaw fundraising, marketing, and product strategy as Chief Brand Officer and launched a peer-to-peer mobile app.
Beyond her work as an executive, Sarah is a dynamic community advocate who presently leads the Board of Directors of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as the Board Chair, which is arguably Southern California's most globally recognized destination. Through her work with both local government and other non-profits, she is dedicated to creating a diverse and thriving environments for all of Hollywood’s businesses- large and small.
Originally hailing from Pensacola, Florida, Sarah has lived in the LA area for the last 15 years, and is a proud Hollywood resident. Beyond her professional and philanthropic pursuits, Sarah has a deep passion for travel, fitness, and her furry best friend Bowie.
