I was wrong about the 2021 Mazda CX-5. There are some changes coming that I couldn’t confirm until this week. First reported on a Japanese blog, and shared with me by @Babs, there will be an infotainment change this year.
The current 6th generation Mazda Connect system with be upgraded to the 7th generation seen on the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30. The CX-5 Sport through Grand Touring will have the 8.8” widescreen, and the Grand Touring Reserve and Signature will have an all new 10.25” screen.
The 7th generation infotainment will include connected services that allows MyMazda phone app control to start/stop, lock/unlock the vehicle, and be directly linked to service assistance.
