The Ascendant and Vertex in Astrology

Описание: In places near the Arctic Circle and Antarctic Circle the Ascendant does not move along in a nice regular way like it does in other places. In these places the Ascendant can move extremely fast and certain zodiac signs may never rise. This odd behavior does not appear to match the cultures and life styles of people living in these places. With some zodiac signs never rising and other signs rising for very long time periods, we would expect a lopsided emphasis on particular zodiac signs in the lives of people in these places but it does not appear to be true. Other bizarre things like the Ascendant moving in a retrograde motion or moving so fast that we cannot accurately determine where it is are problems that have been largely ignored by astrologers.

A proposal that the Vertex overtakes the power of the Ascendant at these latitudes solves these problems. In this video we learn about the latest and most improved formula for calculating the strength of the Vertex and Ascendant at different geographic latitudes and we also learn about an alternative way of determining the strength of the Ascendant and Vertex based on the inclination of the Celestial Horizon to the Ecliptic Plane.
