MU Health Care recruiters will be visiting Columbia Public Schools' high schools in January to talk about the Certified Medical Assistant Program.
The program is for high school seniors who are graduating in May 2018 and have a GPA of at least 2.5. Eligible students can submit applications starting Feb. 1, 2018. Students who are accepted in the program will start working in part-time paid roles in July. Classes, which will be through Columbia College, will start in August, and MU Health Care will cover tuition and any needed equipment.
Students will graduate in spring 2019 and hired as a Certified Medical Assistant at MU Health Care.
