*BEAST* Ride on Roberts Travel Group Volvo B7TL Alexander ALX400 FB05 KSK

Описание: This is my first ride on Roberts B7TL ALX400. (FB05 KSK) This is the first ALX400 I’ve been on since 2015 when Arriva and first transferred their ALXs elsewhere in the country.

FB05 KSK was new to Dublin Bus based in Ireland numbered AV428. This bus along with 3 other ALXs joined Roberts Coaches around May 2020.

The 2 Enviro 200Dart previously provided for Sunday services were withdrawn and sold due to the cancellation of the route 159 which ran from Hinckley to Coalville. This resulted in Roberts using service ready vehicles (this means the ones with ticket machines or the ones which are able to carry one). Which are their Yutong E12s (used for their park and ride services) or their ALX400s (used for school shuttles)

The Yutong E12s aren’t suitable for tighter parts of the route and especially where badly parked car is a problem: Blackmore Drive. This resulted that Roberts must use their ALX400s. You can see an example of the badly parked car at Blackmore Drive later in this video.

Sunday is now the only day where you will have deckers on the routes 20/21. However, the route 21 only serves St Mathews due to low bridge at Barkby Road. And the route 20 on Sunday does not serve Upperton Road and the LRI.

This bus is serving on the route 20 to Blackmore Drive via Narborough Road. Previous reg of the vehicle are (Previous reg: 05-D-10428 - AV428)
