Building My Custom Jimi Hendrix Monterey Tribute Stratocaster (2020)

Описание: See how I built my Jimi Hendrix Theme Stratocaster. This is a Custom Jimi Hendrix Monterey Tribute Stratocaster made from a scratch. I bought the birdseye maple neck from Warmoth but made the alder body and all paint jobs / artwork myself. I also bought a specific Jimi Hendrix pickup set from Seymour Duncan - that has reverse slanted bridge pickup (Voodoo Style) and reverse staggered pole pieces to emulate right handed guitar Jimi used by playing it left handed. The neck has a reverse headstock to emphasize the "wrong handed" guitar feeling.

This is not an exact copy of original Fender Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster. I felt that olympic white would be better base color than the (fiesta?) red that Fender uses. So I changed the colors other way around (instead of white stripe - the body is white with a red stripe... still giving the same look). I probably won't do the artwork to the pick guard to keep it simple.

I still have some work to do - my estimate is that the guitar will be ready to play on February or March of 2020. After that I will provide a complete video on the building project as well as the sound sample how the guitar sounds. The guitar looks nice and I have a feeling that this will end up a great guitar.
