Various shots of girls learning to ride at a riding school. They all come out of the entrance on horses with a male instructor. We then see them grooming their horses and soaping and polishing saddles in a courtyard. Instructor Mr Pritchard shows new pupil June the points to look for in a good horse.



In a field June is introduced to the mare she is going to ride. Another girl, Vera, shows how to sit correctly on a horse. Mr Pritchard shows the right way to mount a horse. Dissolve to June sitting on the horse (perhaps her attempt wasn't very successful). Vera leads June's horse off across the field.
