GEM HUNTING ON THE BEACH, JADE COVE IN BIG SUR CA (RAW FOOTAGE)

Описание: (Please forgive the raw footage, brand new chest mount camera so I got a lot of knee shots... I will post a better video later in the week! Do check out the ending, the climb up the mountain side with a bunch of rocks nearly killed me!)

I am new to hunting for jade and I think it shows. I was overwhelmed when I got to the beach because it seemed like ALL the rocks were green! I don't yet have the eye to discern the jade from the other rocks so I grabbed a sampling from around the beach. I tried to scratch a number of rocks and most were soft enough to leave a mark. Time ran out this weekend so I did a specific gravity test on a handfull. 1 has a specific density of 3.05!!! I am going to retest it in case I made a mistake, but I'd love it if I actually found a piece!
