Canadian National 5723, CN 2415, CN 2253 (Train 301 -- Toronto to Vancouver) northbound at mile 28 of the Canadian Pacific Parry Sound subdivision in Nobel pulling mixed freight.
CN 301 triggered a hot box at the mile 26 detector and stopped to inspect the train. A CP foreman happened to be stopped at the same crossing as us and he was talking on the radio to someone advising them that the detector had stopped another train with a false alarm and that he was unable to make the repair to the detector because he didn't have the parts to do so.
