Sauté (toast) the garlic rather than using it raw — here’s why: raw garlic has a sharp, pungent bite.
Just be careful not to overheat or burn it — burnt garlic turns bitter fast.
Chop fresh basil from the garden — why let it go to waste?
1 stick of quality soft butter
mix ingredients together
Then spread onto the parchment paper (no more single-use plastic wrap!) - bring the 2 ends together. Pull the butter into a log shape and roll then twist the ends. Freeze for a few hours before use. A properly wrapped butter log like this can last up to a year in the freezer.
When you’re ready to use it, run your knife under hot water to make clean slicing easier.
This basil garlic butter pairs beautifully with bread, pasta, vegetables — and yes, even steak or other meats. It also looks very special on the table with a nice meal.
